What is Vygotsky School of Play?

A learning center, where children learn and grow. A place where each child can develop to their full potential. We work on fine motor, gross motor, language, mathematics and all other learning areas. We make sure all milestones are reached and all skills develop to ensure each child is fully prepared for their education journey. We learn through play and real life experiences, we use real equipment and explore nature to make sense of the world. Vygotsky School Of Play, has a different take on education, children learn by using their whole body, we give them the freedom to move around and learn at their own pace. We have integrated Vygotsky's theories in our daily program, we make time for lots of social interaction and fantasy play. We work on growing each child's imagination. We do gardening, baking, creative art and movement activities on a weekly basis. We teach volume through real baking. We encourage social skills by hosting real tea parties, we give children real equipment to learn and reach the skills needed for Grade R and the rest of their school journey.
